Welcome to SHAMA INTERNATIONAL SAS. a company committed to building long term, mutually beneficial business relationships. The foundations were laid by Sardar Zahoor Iqbal in 2003, with the long term view that ethnic foods were to be the daily requirement of the French market. From our humble beginnings at a 250 sqm warehouse, we now trade from our new state of the art 10,000 sqm distribution centre at Rosny sous Bois. In addition to our own range of products under Shama, Shaheen, Shere e Punjab and Sunrise, Shama International has sole distribution for key ethnic brands like Laziza, Shan, Ahmed, Best, Hamdard and Mazedar to name a few. During this journey of success, we have built long-term relationships with our suppliers and clients, and have introduced new lines of quality products under our Shama brand regularly, to manage the demand from consumers. We have also simultaneously developed our offices and business in the UK and in Italy.
Sardar Zahoor Iqbal
The man behind Shama international, Sardar Zahoor Iqbal, He was from a poor family struggling for a better life in Pakistan. Passionated by the business since his young age, he opened a grocery shop in his hometown ( Fateh Jang ). In 1988 he decided to start a new adventure in France. He started his new life, struggling for papers, starting a different type of business in U.K, Italy & France. In 2003 he started his food business, under the name of his elder daughter Shama. He simultaneously developed his business in the UK and in Italy. He has built long-term relationships with his suppliers and clients. He is still regularly developing his business by introducing new lines of quality products under Shama brand.
